Professional Business Headshots - A Time Investment Worth Making

July 17, 2019

Many headshot photographers are what I like to call “assembly-line shooters”. They get you in, sit you down at the same place and angle as everyone else they’ve photographed. They push the button a few times. You’re done.

Some of you may think, “Great! Exactly what I want. In and out. I’m busy!!”. I get it. You are a business person, not an actor or model. The last thing you want is to spend an hour of your precious day in front of a camera.

But, think of it this way. A thorough headshot session will get you images that tell a story about who you are. They will present your personality to the people you want to connect with. They will reflect you and make people feel connected to you before they even meet you. Most importantly for your time, they will last many years…but only if they’re done right! That assembly line photograph that got you in and out in just 5 minutes will likely not show much personality, will grow stale quickly and will probably not be something you want to use for very long or for anything other than the company intranet.

Take the time to find a headshot photographer who will work with you to bring out your personality and make sure the photo will stand out from everyone else’s. It’s a time investment worth every minute!

Aramark Dallas

Aramark Dallas wanted headshots of each of their division directors. Each person was photographed with the same lighting setup and backdrop on the same day. However, taking just a little extra time with each person resulted in slightly different photos. When you feel comfortable with a photographer you will relax and your natural posture and personality with come through in the photos!
