Deciding on a Professional Photographer? Here are Some Questions to Ask.

Knowing what to ask a photographer you’re considering hiring can make your experience smooth and enjoyable!  After searching styles you like and photographers who are skilled in that style, calling the photographers to get more information will help you make your final decision.  This also gives you the opportunity to see if you connect with them. Price

  • How many photos come with the package? 
  • Will I own them or are they copyrighted? 
  • Are they digital only? 
  • What is the resolution? 
  • Is retouching included? 
  • How many outfits does the package include? 
  • Is hair and makeup included or available? 
  • Can I purchase more photos than the package includes; what is the price?
  • Are prints available; do you have a pricing menu?

 

Payment

  • What method of payment do you take?
  • What is your payment policy (pay in full, deposit/balance, etc)? 
  • What is your cancellation policy?

 

Prepping for the Shoot

  • Do you help with wardrobe selection? 
  • What do you recommend for hair (and makeup for women)?

 

The Shoot

  • How many photos are taken during the shoot? 
  • Will I be able to see the photos on a monitor as we shoot? 
  • Where is your studio?
